In the 1st through 4th classes, we mentioned St. Michael’s Feast Day, and handed out the cursive memory work sheets. Next, we answered questions on the worksheet for the next line of the Creed, “Maker of Heaven and Earth.” Finally, we made a number craft for each day of creation.
In the 5th and 6th grade class, we
also mentioned St. Michael. After
handing out the memory work cursive sheet, we briefly discussed authority,
infallibility, and indefectibility. We
talked about how the male priesthood is an infallible teaching, so it can’t be
changed. When talking about
indefectibility, we said that the core teachings of the Church are without
defect. We got to talking about the
Traditional Mass also—mentioning the differences, and how important the actions
of the priest are. They also did a
creation craft, and made a wheel with drawings for each day of creation. We also established “Homework Bucks” which
can be earned for each homework assignment turned in. At the end of the year, they can spend their
bucks on something special J
