Why are we meeting on Mondays?

It has been our experience that Mondays at home are awful for everyone. It is the first day with Dad out of the house, the home is a disaster-zone after the weekend, and the children seem to be aching for more attention than you have time. And somehow homeschooling is supposed to fit into this mess!

We thought, why not a change? We wake up Monday morning, hopefully attend a Mass close to home, and then focus our energies on cleaning the house and prepping our homeschool lessons for the week. After popping a meal into a crock-pot, off we go to start our school week at the co-op!

    About Cost?

We are a homeschooling co-operative, meaning each mother is expected to contribute time and talents. As such, we do not pay teachers. We do have volunteer teachers, some of whom are mothers within the co-op, others of whom are veterans. No money goes to any member of the co-op. All money either pays the facility, insurance, supplies costs, or curricular materials; therefore, any price reduction or increase is directly related to those expenses.

Estimated Maximum Required Cost per Families:
    • Facility Fee:  $134.00 per family (price depends on number of families enrolled)
    • Insurance Fee: $52.75 per family(price depends on number of families enrolled)
    • Printing Fee: $10 per student
    • Books Cost: $120 per family (estimate~ price will vary based on books already own, books ordered, sale prices,  and shipping)
    • Supply Fee:
Pre-K-6th Grade: $50 per child (fee covers art, science, and general supplies)

We can't get around it! The building utilities and insurance must be paid by somebody, so we share in that payment!

Here is the breakdown of the facility and facility fees:
    $2000 Donation to Facility
    $791 to Annual Insurance Plan
