Announcing the 2012-2013 Field Trips!



FIELD TRIP #1: An Archaeological Dig!                  October 1st, 2012

Grades K-2: The Transparent Shoebox Dig
Grades 3-6: The Schoolyard Dig
Find out more!  Bring a Bag Lunch! Location is to be announced. Anyone’s backyard will do!

FIELD TRIP #2: Shenandoah River State Park      October 29th, 2012

Program Title: Toads, Turtles, and Snakes!
Time: 1:00 pm
Location: Visitor Center
Description by Park: "Learn about the differences and similarities between reptiles and amphibians, along with some interesting facts about them. Meet some of the resident critters at the visitor center and watch them eat!
Fee: $4 for park entry.

FIELD TRIP #3: The National Museum of Natural History February 25th, 2013

We will visit the Mammals and Ocean Exhibits and participate in the Discovery Room Programs. Find out more! 
FEE: TBA – We hope to arrange a charter bus for easier transportation.

FIELD TRIP #4: Blandy Experimental Farm             March 25th, 2013

K-3 Snake Savvy Program                            $4 per student
4-5 It’s for the Birds Program                     $4 per student

FIELD TRIP #5: Winchester ZOO                           April 29th, 2013

Come join us as we end our year of Animal Life at the Wilson’s Wild Animal Park! $5 per person age 3 or up is the group rate. See their website!
