K-6 Supplies List: A Note

Below you will find the K-6 Supplies List. If you do not have all these supplies just lying around your house, then you may want to figure out a way to save some money by letting students share! For example, if you have two children in one class, these two children could share the supplies in bold below:

• 1. 1 notebook for writing (appropriate to your student’s age)
• 2. 1 pair of scissors 
• 3. 1 pack of colored pencils
• 4. 1 large poster board

• 6. 1 1ga. Ice-cream bucket with lid (You may consider an alternate container.)
• 7. 1 apron or large T-shirt (aprons are $1 at Dollar Tree)
• 8. 1 charcoal sketch set like the one here ($4.99): http://shop.hobbylobby.com/store/item.aspx?ItemId=156476
• 9. Pencil sharpener (12 pack for $1 at Dollar Tree; or 6 pack has lids!)
• 10. 5 lbs air-dry clay $9.97 http://www.walmart.com/ip/CRAYOLA-Air-Dry-Clay-Self-Hardening-5-lb.-Bucket-White-Each/14590621
• (Consider buying 1/2 the clay now and the rest later.)

• 12. 1 sewing needle (larger needles work best for students whose fine motor skills are not yet so fine.)
• 13. 3 Catholic Herald newspapers
• 14. 1 pack of natural beads (wooden, stone, or shell) (Buy 1-2 packages to split into zip-lock bags for the children.)
• 15. 1 bottle of liquid glue
• 16. 2 bottles of acrylic paint (There is a 24-pack at Wal-Mart for $9.97 that is great for six+ kids!)
• 17. 2 balls of yarn (color of student’s choosing)

• 19. 1 pack of natural paint brushes. A pack like this would work for the whole family: http://www.walmart.com/catalog/product.do?product_id=17300183&findingMethod=rr (This can be easily shared!)
